Welcome to the USS Scimitar

Welcome aboard the USS Scimitar NCC-90164, Diligent Class. This vessel is home to myself, Colonel Shafto, and the Scimitar's crew.

The Scimitar is the proud recipient of the Simulation of the month for April 2009 and Silver Simulation of the Month for June 2009.

The year is 2386, just over a decade since the conlusion of the Dominion War and the Federation is prospering and peace is maintained. The Federation again seeks to expand the size of its borders and has established a foothold in the Delta Quadrant. Starfleet's Main Objective of peaceful exploration has now moved to a new quadrant.
Epsilon Force is the name of that orginisation, and the USS Scimitar is one of the many ships assigned.

Please feel free to tour the ship and if you wish to join this fine crew, do so. You will be joining an elite group of people as we explore the expanded world of Star Trek.

Hey Crew of the Scimitar,
I wish you a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. I hope everything went well in your various parts of the globe.
Now a new year has come, 2387, and it will be a year with some changes in the works. I will endeavour to be more focused on running this simulation to the best of my abilities, and I thank you as you continue to join me.
I know things have been going slow, but as you can see it is starting to pick up again. It would help immensly if you could all start getting back into the swing of your characters, by writing either a personal log or single mission post when you have the time or chance.
Thanks again for your efforts, they shall not go unrewarded.
Regards,
Field Colonel Shafto

All hands, this is the Colonel,
We are now well on our way to meeting with the Rihasulons. We have 3 days before we reach the Station, I want to see at least 1 single quality post from everybody, letting me know who I have and to get yourselves reintergrated with you characters.
That is my order.
Shafto out.

Crew..
It has been evident that posting everywhere has been down, I take into consideration RL issues, events etc, I myself am sitting my final year exams. Please do me one favour, If you are able, send me a PM of your status.
I will also tell you of upcoming events, The Scimitar is set to depart with the new Diplomatic Envoy aboard. I will let everyone know what is going on in a mass briefing of all senior staff. That will be started Wednesday 7th of Oct. I am giving you warning as to this so you can be around to post in it.
I would like to see an increase in posting of personal logs and single person posts. We need to boost our numbers and win SOTM again! Esprit de Corps!
Any inquiries please contact me at your convenience...

Crew,
I would like to announce the following changes, LTCMNDR Powers and LT Keval have both been retired by their writers. I wish the two the very best in their future endeavours, and so this leaves a couple of spaces that I hope to be filled soon.
As for the Second Officer position, that will be filled by MAJ Fletcher, and the Chief Tactical officer will be filled by the next in line, LTJG Laruun. Congratulations to them.
Also I will be writing the Teaser for the opening of the next mission, please finish up your story arcs and JP's.
That will be all.

Crew,
At this point, we have reached Frontier, meaning our first mission is over. We will have a brief interlude, IC 4 days, OOC about 2 weeks. This is so we can all get more character development posts done and gives me a chance to converse with my XO about the next mission.
I will expect to see at least 1 Mission post from each crewmember, just to get your characters up to speed and allow them to have some fun, (not as much fun as Adam or Abi).
If you have any complaints about the last mission, please notify me of your concerns.
Also if you wish to make some input to the next mission, possibly a subplot, then please also email me at your earliest convenience.
Please continue to post!
Colonel Shafto.

All Hands,
Congratulations again for getting Simulation of the month (Silver) for June 2009, It is a credit to you as a crew, and may I say it wont be the last award given.
We are just arriving at Frontier now and your orders are to Repair/Refit/Resupply the Scimitar first, then you are granted 3 days shoreleave, so make it snappy.
Promotions, awards will be given out soon, and I will try to be as fair as I can.
-Upcoming Events:
Scimitar Arrives at Starbase Frontier
Offloading Survivors of the Paris
Diplomatic talks with the Romulan ships that we escorted back
Overall repairs to the Scimitar
A bit of shoreleave, about 3 days worth (if you dont have repair duties that is)
Transfer of Diplomatic Envoy (NPC) to the Scimitar
Orders
Departure From Starbase Frontier
Start of Mission 2 (title TBA)
I will aslo be changing the Age restrictions of the site to 16+, as I think you can all write at that more mature level. If anyone has any problems please contact me at your liesure.
Lastly, as we get to the Starbase, I wish to see an increase in character development posts, and personal logs. Lets boost these numbers.
Shafto Out.
